Stephen Hawking joins attack on science cuts

“Prof Hawking of Cambridge has now added his name to a petition calling on Prime Minister Gordon Brown to halt planned cuts in physics and astronomy that has attracted more than 3,500 names on its very first day. The vitriolic attacks on the Government by the scientific establishment are of an intensity not seen since cuts were made in the 80s.”
