What is Government’s Role?

“The City of Vancouver, BC recently passed a law against motorists letting their cars idle in order to help curb greenhouse gases and save fuel — it’s now punishable by a fine of $50 to $100 to idle your car. What do you think? Should we change our laws to force behaviors that are good for the environment? Or should government stay off our backs?”
